3) How to create glue records for a domain name with 34SP.com

Only we can create glue records on your behalf. You will need to contact us to have these created. We require some information to do this for you.

We need a nameserver name e.g ns.yourdomainname.com and the IP address of the nameserver e.g 212.212.221.211

You must provide this twice, for the respective primary and secondary servers.

6) Redemption period for .com domain names that have been expired over 30 days.

Should your domain name expire it is possible it will enter the 'redemption period' state. This generally occurs to domain names that are more than 30 days expired. The domain name can be removed from this state for a fee. This includes a mandatory fee to the domain registry and a two year renewal of the domain name with 34SP.com.

The registry fee is charged by the top level registry for releasing the domain from this state and is not set by 34SP.com. This fee is out of our hands and is non-negotiable. The only fee we take is for the renewal of the domain, at our standard prices.

If you choose to wait until this period passes, the domain will enter a state known as 'pending delete' after 90 from expiry. It then cannot be renewed for a further 5 days. It will finally return to the public domain where it can be purchased as new.

If you choose to wait for the domain to be released, you should be aware of the domain speculation market. Some companies automatically register domain names they believe to have value, the very moment the domain is released back into the public domain. It is then common practice to resell the domain at an inflated price

4) How to update the WHOIS records on a domain name with 34SP.com

Simply log into you account via https://account.34sp.com and click on 'Personal Details'. Update these details to show what you want on the WHOIS.

Then email contact us asking us to update the WHOIS details.

We will then force a manual update for you.

1) How to transfer a domain name to 34SP.com

There are a number of steps you must take if you wish to transfer your domain name to the control of 34SP.com.

Firstly check the existing registration time on your domain name. Domain names may lapse if the transfer does not complete before the expiry date. If your domain has less than 4 weeks renewal time remaining you should proceed with caution.

.com .net .org domains
If you have a .com .net or .org domain name you must contact your current domain registrar. You must instruct them to 'unlock' your domain name. If the domain is in a 'locked' state a transfer cannot begin.

.org .biz .info domains
If you have a .org .biz or .info domain name you will be prompted to supply an 'EPP code'. You should contact your present registrar for this. They will be able to provide this for you on request.

.uk domains
If you have a .uk domain name you must instruct your registrar to update the 'IPS tag' of your domain name to ours. Our IPS tag is '34SP'. .uk domain transfers inward to 34SP.com are FREE.

Once the above steps have been completed successfully the domain transfer can begin. Finally you must complete the transfer form on our site:

You should only proceed with this step once you have any of the steps necessary above.

It is also your responsibility to ensure the domain transfer completes in the required time frame. If you are unsure of any of the above we are happy to advise.

5) How to update your nameservers on your domain name with 34SP.com

To set nameservers for your domain name you need to login to your account management page, located at:

https://account.34sp.com

Here you should enter your registered email address and account password in the fields provided. Your registered email address is the email address you selected when you purchased the account.

Once the account management page has loaded select 'Sites'. Then click on your domain name from the list.

On the subsequent page click 'Update Nameservers'. Please enter a minimum of either two nameserver names OR two IP addresses for your nameservers. You cannot enter both.

Then click 'Submit' to save the changes.

8) How to unlock a domain name

Please note that a transfer away of your domain name is not needed to use your domain with a new provider. If you wish to use your domain with a new hosting provider a nameserver update will suffice and is free. If you would like advice on this please let me know.

You may only transfer your domain name away provided:

1) It has not expired.

2) It has been registered for more than 60 days.

3) A previous transfer away has not already been started.

To begin a transfer away from 34SP.com you must first login to your account management page, located at:

https://account.34sp.com

Here you should enter your registered email address and account password in the fields provided. Your registered email address is the email address you selected when you purchased the account.

Once the account management page has loaded select 'Sites' followed by the the domain name you want to transfer away. Click on 'Transfer Away'

You should enter your registrar and ISP tag (.uk domains only) and press 'Transfer Away'.

Once completed we will unlock your domain as required and update your IPS tag if necessary. We will only approve release requests from the registrar you specifically state.

IMPORTANT: Please note that it is your responsibility to ensure any transfer completes successfully.
