Simply go to https://account.34sp.com/forgotten_password and enter your email address. We will send a link to that email address (this must match the email address on our systems for your account). Click this link and enter your new password. That is it; your control panel password is reset. Our support technicians will no longer be able to confirm passwords for your control panel. They will reset your password and send you the link email as described. Please ensure your contact email address on our system is current, to avoid issues with receiving the link.

Don't forget, you can now administer all services through this one simple login. All you need to remember is your registered email and password. Feel free to click the 'Create Support Ticket' button to ask any questions you may have.

As some cases require in depth investigation some of our channels may not be best suited for the issue you have. We hope this guide will assist you in finding the right one.

We offer 4 channels of support.

1) http://support.34sp.com (The support portal has everything you need to know about using our services)

2) Support tickets / email support@34sp.com - All technical issues can be dealt with on this channel including, broken email , issues with scripts , php issues and any other issues you may have with our services. In most cases anything that causes errors or emails that are going missing, often takes a long time to diagnose and fix and as such can not practically be done over Live chat or Telephone channels.. As such a ticket needs to be raised for them to work from. In our new BETA control panel, you can raise a support ticket by simply clicking 'Create Support Ticket' or click here Create a Support Ticket.

3) Live chat - Used for basic advice or to ask for lost passwords etc, check account status etc.

4) Telephone: For users who are unable to use the above methods of communication. We can raise a support case or give basic support on the telephone. All issues that require an engineer to fix an issue will need to be raised on a ticket.

What we can support:

Our team are here to support you with the use of our systems and services. This involves confirming details for your account, assisting you with the use of our services, such as setting up your email for the first time, checking our services are working correctly, repairing our services if they should have an issue.

What we cannot support:

Desktop services: We cannot offer support on issues with your Mac / PC / Mobile Device, beyond confirming the details to use our services. You would need to have an IT professional look at your device and best advise you on why it may not be working, if for example email still did not work once we had confirmed all the details and our services are working correctly. Our team will try hard to give suggestions of common issues, however beyond this, you would need to speak to a Mac shop / Mobile phone shop or IT support person.

Repair and diagnosis of 3rd Party scripts: While we will always try to ensure our services are set up to correctly work with scripts, we are unable to provide coding assistance. We will check the servers are running correctly and correct any issues with our service. If any issues are related to the code you would need a qualified coder to resolve this issue for you.

Connection to the internet: We do not provide connections to the internet. If you are unable to reach any other websites or the internet in general you will need to contact your ISP e.g BT, Virgin, O2 etc

Protect your site against malicious scripts

You can protect your site against such attacks by adding a .htaccess file to your images/upload folders.
Simply put the following code in your .htaccess file:

RemoveType .php
RemoveHandler .php

This will tell our servers not to allow PHP to run in that folder. Ideal if its a folder for images only or non PHP pages. Sadly, yuo cannot use this in folders where PHP files need to run from.

Please note: If you are using our phpfastcgi you will also need to add:

AddHandler text/plain .php

This tells the server to override phpfastcgi and treat .php as text (will not process it).

FTP Lock (Personal - Professional - Business accounts Only)

On Thursday, 22nd of October , we will be applying this lock to all Personal accounts that are currently set to 'Enable' which means FTP is Unlocked.
This is due to an increase in FTP hacks of late. You can 'Unlock' your FTP by choosing 'Enable Today' in the FTP Access section of your 34SP.com control panel.

Below are instructions on using the lock:

1) Login to https://www.34sp.com/login
2) Select 'personal hosting' from the right hand menu
3) Select the account you wish to update
4) Scroll down the page to the FTP Access section
5) Select 'enable today' and click update
5) FTP access will be immediately available and will be turned off automatically by the system at midnight

The addition of a file called .ftpaccess can protect your site from FTP based attacks even if you forget to lock FTP.

We recommend all customers (Personal, Professional and Business) use the provided FTP lock. This can be found by logging in to https://www.34sp.com/login
We recommend all customers on all account types take advantage of the .ftpaccess file.

All you need to do is create a file called .ftpaccess and place it in the folder you wish to protect and set IP addresses that are trusted.

Allow 127.0.0.1
Allow 1.2.3.4

One easy way to secure is create the .ftpaccess file as below:

Then simply enable and disable FTP by logging into siteadmin and renaming the file. This acts like a lock and is handy if you do not have a static IP address.
