Customised ErrorDocuments
If you are using Microsoft FrontPage to Publish your site, then you will be unable to overwrite the standard error documents.

In order to have customised error documents, you will need to Publish your own as normal. Then you need to
Login to siteadmin
Click on relevant domain name
Click on "File Manager"
Click on the little folder icon to left of "httpdocs"
Now scroll down till you see ".htaccess"
Now click the furthest most icon (edit) and add the following line to the beginning of the file
ErrorDocument 404 /404.shtml
The first 404 is the particular error document you want customised, and the /404.shtml is the path to the file, starting from httpdocs.

For further assistance, please refer to this tutorial
