Hopefully this tutorial will get you up and running with your new POP mail account with 34SP using Eudora. We will just be running through the wizard in this setup. This tutorial assumes you have already set up your mailbox in Plesk and you just require Eudora set up to connect to that mailbox.
From your menu bar select Tools and then Personalities
Personalities In Eudora
so that you get the box shown below.
Adding a new mail account
Right click in this box and select New from the options shown.
You should then have the following box on screen.
select create a brand new mail account and then click Next to move to the following screen.
This is the place to give the account a name, for example if this is going to be an information address you could call it Info. Once you've given a name click Next to move to the following screen.
This is where you fill in the name you wish to see associated with your mails, for personal mail your name would be a good idea, for business mails maybe the business name. Click Next to move to the following screen.
Here is where you fill in the e-mail address of the account you have just set up. For example if you set up the mailbox info@yourdomain.ext (or info@subdomain.34sp.com if you purchased a www.subdomain.34sp.com account) then that's what you would put in this box. Click Next to move to the following screen.
Here is where you add the Login name to access the mailbox, this is your email address. Click Next to move to the following screen.
This is where you set your incoming mail server name. This will be mail.yourdomain.ext (or mail.subdomain.34sp.com). And make sure that POP is selected below the text box. Click Next to move to the following screen.
This is where you set your mail server for sending mail. Your 34SP account does not come with an SMTP (sending) option as standard so if you haven't purchased the extra SMTP option you must put in your ISP's sending server here. As an example if your ISP was Freeserve you would put smtp.freeserve.com. If you have purchased the extra SMTP option then your SMTP server address will be smtp.yourdomain.ext (or smtp.subdomain.34sp.com). Click Next to move to the following screen.
Congratulations you have now set up Eudora to collect mail from your new 34SP account.
