This tutorial is designed for dedicated/colocated server and VPS customers wishing to install an SSL certificate on a server running plesk.

On all of our shared hosting services, SSL certificates are now automatically installed by us.

The installation procedure comes in 3 parts. Firstly, you need to generate a CSR, next you need to purchase the certificate, and lastly you need to install it.

Generate a CSR

Log in to siteadmin, as outlined in this tutorial



Click Certificates



Click Add New Certificate. Fill out the form with your details.



Press Request,and you will be returned to the main Certificates page.



Click the Certificate Name, and scroll down to the bottom of the page to see the CSR



Purchasing the Certificate

To purchase the go to www.34sp.com/order-ssl.php to purchase the SSL certificate.

Select the SSL certificate you require. Choose No from the Install my certificate select box.

In the CSR information box, paste the CSR you generated in the previous section.

Once successfully purchased, you will be mailed the certificate information.

Installing the Certificate

Please note, the following are only example certificates. Please ensure you use the ones supplied to you by 34SP.com.

Log in to siteadmin, as outlined in this tutorial

Click Certificates

Click the Certificate Name, and scroll half way down the page



In the Certificate box, paste the certificate you received.
In the CA certificate box, paste the 2 root certificates you received.
Ensure there is no blank line the -----END CERTIFICATE----- and the following -----BEGIN CERTIFICATE-----



Click Send Text

Click Up Level twice

Click Setup

There you can select the new SSL certificate

Once selected, simply restart the apache webserver, to enable the new certificate.
